Employee phone

Working at AU you have to be aware of the rules for use of employee phone at the department:

  • Have you chosen to solely use your employee phone for work purposes, it is as a rule not allowed to use it for private matters. If you only use your employee phone for work purposes, you must fill in the solemn declaration below and send it to cae@au.dk, in case you have not already done so. In isolated cases, it is allowed to use your employee phone to make private calls, go online, send text messages or e-mails without having to pay tax.

Download the Solemn declaration about work phones here.

  • Have you chosen to use your employee phone for both work and private purposes, you will be registered with the multimedia tax. You can read more herePlease note that the offer to use your work phone for both work and private use depends on a individual assessment.

The general policy of Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering is that roaming abroad should be used as little as possible and that you should connect to a wireless network whenever possible. Furthermore, employees are encouraged to use Teams, Zoom or other internet-based telephone services to call abroad. It is not allowed to make personal calls abroad with your employee phone, regardless of whether you have chosen to be registered with the multimedia tax or not.
